Insurances

Travelers must have comprehensive travel insurance that provides adequate protection in the event of illness and accident. The insurance must also cover the costs of any repatriation.

Change of contract terms and travel arrangements

The nature of the trips is sometimes such that it is impossible to guarantee that the itinerary will be followed one hundred percent. The itinerary is therefore always preliminary. Changes to the itinerary can occur for many reasons, such as weather conditions or the influence of local authorities. If the traveler chooses not to use the specified arrangements or leaves the group during the trip, no refund can be made. Furthermore, the organizer disclaims financial responsibility for events that can be classified as force majeure.

Traveler's obligations

The traveler is responsible for having a complete and valid passport and other documents necessary for the trip. The passport must be valid for 6 months after return home.

The traveler is required to have adequate health and accident insurance with evacuation coverage for the entire travel period. The insurance company and number must be stated upon request.

The traveler must immediately notify the organizer of any changes to email address, telephone number or other information of importance to the organizer's ability to contact the traveler.

The trips include both hardships and unexpected events that place demands on the traveler's fitness. It is the traveler's responsibility to choose a trip where they can manage on their own and participate in all aspects of the trip or to agree otherwise with Sofia Travels in advance.

The traveler must pay for the trip upon returning home after the end of the trip.

Other obligations

After registration, a confirmation of the agreed arrangement will be sent. Changed natural conditions, road diversions, political events, etc. may mean that changes to the itinerary are necessary. In such cases, if possible, the traveler will be offered alternative arrangements. If the change results in a deterioration for the traveler, the traveler may be entitled to a price reduction.
